Why, guys? Please tell me why you just don't put a price tag on your software, instead of playing this silly game. When i google that, i get infos about malware etcetera.

I saw that the Disconnect plugin blocks ajax requests to sites like Superfish. If anybody wonders - They're called "Visual Match" with a tacky green animation of scanning an image. I just spent more than 1 hour to find the reason why i see these UGLY ads for example on Apple's page. This being said, i just can't understand why the devs now felt the urge of sneaking this terrible advertise thing into it. It also fixed the ugly wide tabs, and added other great functionality.

I've used Glims for a long time, and it was essential for me-just a wonderful piece of software that added pretty much everything that i did miss in Safari. Especially if you implement functionality to BLOCK ads. I will happily pay a small fee for your application. I'm sorry, I can't trust you or this app until the functionality is completely removed-and I'll be seeking alternatives until it is.ĭev, I believe I can speak for at least some others by saying that my trust can be restored, but the ad thing has to go. I appreciate seeing that the developer is highly involved in the comments here and in personally working with the negative comments to find resolve, etc. Sure, it says it's 'off' - but is it still communicating something to somewhere? Is it profiling me? Is it creating a new log or process on my computer that can be hacked or read? (At this point, a dev telling me otherwise is not going to ease my concern. I've installed again and turned it off, but the functionality's presence alone threads a feeling of distrust into its use. I've loved Glims, but this adware integration is a horrible idea.
